A story that ties together the threads that bind past and present, For the Love of a Woman sends Esther, an aimless American in the 1970s, to Israel in pursuit of a woman she’s never met but who, according to Esther’s mother, is keeping a secret about her life. Her search reveals another story – that of Yehudit, a new settler in 1930s Palestine, whose independence makes her an object of desire for three men in the village.
