National Theatre Live: Much Ado About Nothing

National Theatre Live

Much Ado About Nothing

by William Shakespeare

directed by Simon Godwin Filmed live from the National Theatre in London

180 min with one intermission

Shakespeare’s well-loved romcom of sun, sea and mistaken identity, with a cast including Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd).

The legendary family-run Hotel Messina on the Italian Riveria has been visited by artists, celebrities and royalty. But when the owner’s daughter weds a dashing young soldier, not all guests are in the mood for love. A string of scandalous deceptions soon surround not only the young couple, but also the adamantly single Beatrice and Benedick.

Following the award-winning success of National Theatre Live’s Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night and Antony and Cleopatra, director Simon Godwin returns with this irresistible comedy, broadcast live from the National Theatre stage.

Down in Front!: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians!

"I can’t even f**** believe this is a movie.”

-Stacey Werner, Assistant Manager

The DIF crew return for everyone's favorite (?) Xmas tradition: SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS!

This smoky Yule log is a 60's stinker goes like this: Martian ruler Kimar is upset that the children of Mars are lazy and under the influence of too much pop culture from Earth. In an attempt to get the kids peppy again, Kimar orders the kidnapping of Santa Claus, hoping that the jolly old bastard will know how to cheer the children up again.

Wow. Did that description make you a little nauseous? The DIF crew - Jennie, Stuart, and Matt, and special guest David Zayas have their work cut out for them - let's hope they don't end up on the naughty list after this one.

Grab a ZeroDay beer, some PoshCorn, and settle in for an evening of comedy riffing on a film that may literally ruin Christmas.
